The job, already written
WIN IT AND THE JOB SETS ITSELF UP
The stages, the shopping list with quantities, the site checks and the days in your diary. All of it off the quote you already wrote. You type nothing.
The quote already knew all of this
When you priced the job you worked out what it involves, what it needs and roughly how long it takes. Then the customer says yes, and every other app makes you type it all in again as a job. We kept it. The moment you mark a quote won, the job sheet is built from what you already described.
What you get on site
One screen, built for a phone held in one hand with the other one full.
The stages, in the order you work
Named stages with the tasks under them, taken from the way the job was priced. Tick them off as you go. The box fills the instant you touch it, because a checklist that pauses is a checklist you stop using.
A shopping list with the quantities on it
Everything the quote priced as materials, with how many, ready to tick off at the merchant counter. Your labour is not on it, because you are not buying that.
The things that catch people out
Site checks pulled from what the job involves. The bits that turn into a second trip if you find them at four o'clock on the Friday.
One tap into the diary
The job knows roughly how many days it was priced for, so booking it in is picking a start date. It blocks out the right number of days and it lands in your calendar.
One action at a time
The screen only ever shows the single next thing: put it in the diary, start the job, mark it done. Never a row of buttons to choose between while you are stood on a ladder.
Add your own lines
Anything the quote missed, add it in a line. On the shopping list you can paste a Screwfix or Toolstation link and it fills the product name in for you, which beats thumbing it in at the trade counter.
What the job actually cost
Snap your receipts at the merchant and they go against what you priced, so you find out whether the job made money while you are still on it, not at year end.
Job management: frequently asked questions
Do I have to set the job up?
No. That is the whole point. When you mark a quote as won, the job sheet is built from the way the job was priced: the stages, the materials with quantities, and the site checks. If the quote was a thin one you get an empty sheet, and you can add lines yourself.
Does it work with no signal?
It works in your phone's browser and ticking is instant, but it does need a connection to save. It is a website you can add to your home screen, not a native app, so there is no download and no app store.
Can I add jobs that did not start as a quote?
The job sheet is built from a quote, because that is where everything it knows comes from. For a job you never quoted, write the quote first and mark it won. It takes about thirty seconds.
What happens when the job grows?
You describe the extra in a sentence, the same engine prices it off your day rate, and your customer approves it before you start. Only then does it become billable.
