Quote to invoice, for carpenters
FROM QUOTE TO PAID, BUILT FOR CARPENTERS
Describe the work the way you'd note it on a cut list, like a cut roof, a run of studwork, a staircase or second fix through a whole house, and an itemised quote writes itself. Timber, ironmongery, fixings and your own day rate. Win it and the job sheet, the shopping list and the invoice all come off that same quote.
It knows the jobs you price
First fix, second fix or a full fit-out. Describe it in your own words and the timber, the sheet goods, the ironmongery and the labour get itemised so nothing is forgotten on the day.
Roofs & structural timber
Cut roofs, trusses, joists and floor structures, with the timber sizes, the hangers and the fixings all costed.
Studwork & first fix
Partitions, noggins, door linings and floor decks across a whole house, priced room by room.
Second fix & finishings
Doors, skirting, architrave, ironmongery and the making good, itemised rather than guessed as a day count.
Staircases, kitchens & fitted work
Fitting supplied units or building them, with the sheet goods, the fixings and the labour days shown.
Carpenters & Joiners: frequently asked questions
Can it price supply-and-fit as well as labour only?
Both. If you're only fitting, delete or zero the material lines and the quote is your labour and your day rate. If you're supplying too, the timber, sheet goods and ironmongery come in as their own lines from the catalogue, and every one is editable before it goes out.
Are the timber prices any good?
They're a solid starting point from a built-in catalogue, so you're not typing part numbers by hand. Timber moves faster than most materials, so check anything significant with your merchant before sending. If you've got a product link, paste it and the real price is pulled in.
How does it handle a job that runs over several weeks?
Set a payment schedule on the quote: a deposit, a stage payment, the balance on completion. The customer sees it before they agree. Once you've won it you invoice against those stages one at a time, in the same words and the same amounts they already said yes to.
Can I quote on site, from my phone?
Yes. It runs in your browser, so you can price the job standing in the room you're about to work in and send it before you're back in the van. No download needed to start, and your first 14 days are free with no card.
