Quote to invoice, for bricklayers
FROM QUOTE TO PAID, BUILT FOR BRICKLAYERS
Describe the work the way you'd price it off the drawing, like an extension shell, a garden wall, a chimney rebuild or a repoint, and an itemised quote writes itself. Bricks, blocks, mortar, ties, lintels and your labour. Win it and the stages, the shopping list and the invoice all come off that same quote.
It knows the jobs you price
By the thousand, by the metre or by the day. Describe the work and the bricks, the blocks, the mortar, the ties and the lintels get itemised, with the labour against each stage.
Extension & garage shells
Footings up to plate, with cavity blockwork, insulation, ties, lintels and the scaffold allowance shown.
Garden & retaining walls
Foundations, brick, coping and drainage, priced by the metre so the customer can see the length they're paying for.
Repointing & repairs
Raking out and repointing by the square metre, with the mortar mix and access allowed for properly.
Chimneys & openings
Rebuilds, flaunching, new openings and lintel work, itemised rather than quoted as a round figure.
Bricklayers: frequently asked questions
Can it price by brick count or by the metre?
Describe it however you'd normally price it: a number of bricks, a run in metres, a wall area. It itemises the materials and the labour to match. Every line is editable, so you can set the rate to what you actually lay in a day before it goes out.
Does it allow for mortar, ties and lintels?
Yes, as separate lines with quantities rather than a single sundries figure. Those are the lines that get missed on a quick quote and they add up across an extension shell. Check the quantities against your own take-off before sending.
How do I get a deposit up front for materials?
Put a payment schedule on the quote: a deposit before you start, a stage payment, the balance on completion. The customer sees it and agrees to it before the job begins, and you then invoice against each stage in the same amounts they already approved.
What happens when the customer adds to the job?
Say what the extra is in a sentence and it gets priced off the same day rate and the same material prices as the original quote. They approve it on their phone before you build it, and it goes on the invoice as its own agreed item rather than being folded into the final bill.
