Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences and activity. Some cookies are essential for the site to function. Others help us understand how the site is used.

2. Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off. They include cookies that manage your login session and authentication status. No consent is required for these cookies.

Functional cookies

These cookies remember your preferences and settings, such as your chosen quote defaults or display preferences. They improve your experience but are not essential.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand which parts of the Service are used and where they fail. It is hosted in the European Union and stores an identifier on your device so that repeat visits can be recognised. It runs only if you accept, and it is linked to your account once you are logged in. We do not use Google Analytics.

Advertising

Our public marketing website uses the Meta advertising pixel to measure whether our own adverts lead to signups. It sets a cookie named _fbp and shares the fact that a visit or a signup happened with Meta. It runs only if you accept, it is not present in the app you log in to, and it has no access to your account, your quotes or your customers.

Your choice

The first time you visit we ask whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Refusing is one click and is exactly as easy as accepting. If you refuse, nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies runs, and the Service works normally. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and answer the banner again.

3. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will affect the functionality of the Service and may prevent you from logging in. Instructions for managing cookies can be found in your browser's help documentation.

4. Contact

For any questions about our use of cookies please contact team@builderbuddy.co.uk.
